Master Guide Training - PLA Training - March & Drill Scoresheets
Master Guide Purpose
The Master Guide Ministry is a ministry with an emphasis on service and active involvement in Youth and Children's Ministries. It is a leadership role within the Adventurer, Pathfinder, Youth, Young Adult, Camp, Children's, or Sabbath School Ministries. Master Guides should be willing to serve the church in any of these areas of ministry. It is expected that all Master Guides will model a viable lifestyle of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and will remain active in these ministries as a leader.
Is your Adventurer or Pathfinder Ministry struggling to find dedicated and motivated staff?
Is your Ministry looking for help teaching classes? Does your Ministry need help mentoring Teens or Adults into leadership positions? These classes help to develop an awareness of the role of children/youth leadership and become better prepared to accept this role by receiving training in club leadership, organization, personal and spiritual growth, skill development, and fitness lifestyle. MG has been associated with Pathfinders in the past, but it was actually created to help anyone that is working with our youth to get more training and help develop and define those skills.
PLA (Pathfinder Leadership Award) Training
If you thought you could make a difference, would you be willing to do so?
If you discovered that you possessed leadership qualities and skills, would you use them? If you knew that you could motivate others to make a difference, would you be inspired to do so? During this weekend, you will discover leadership qualities and characteristics that will help you become more efficient in achieving your leadership skills to help you become a more dynamic Pathfinder leader. The curriculum will equip you with skills, tools, and techniques to maximize your natural leadership talents and will teach you how to use them to motivate and influence others. As always, the Pathfinder Leadership Team is trying to find ways to improve how our Ministry runs. Over the last several years, the Pathfinder Clubs that are putting drill teams together for Fair have increased significantly. In light of this increase, there have been a couple of small changes made to the drill routine score sheets. 1. The time limits have been decreased to allow for more clubs to participate in the same amount of time. 2. The required movments have been modified slightly to allow for the time change and to allow for better flow. Overall, these changes are VERY minor and they should not affect how you train and prepare. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the RMC Drill Master, Mark Wakefield, at 303.806.9678 or via email mcwakefield@earthlink.net. You may download the score sheets that are attached below.
