Apache
He is an 18 year old quarter horse, and is a camper favorite! He is a gentle giant and is eager to please his rider. This is his 6th summer at the Ranch!
Apollo
He is a 19 year old thoroughbred, and a camper favorite! He is an amazing jumper and barrel racer at the GVR Summer Camp Rodeos, and is also the fastest horse in the herd. He loves attention from people and begging for grain. This is his 4th summer at GVR!
Black Diamond
She is a 29 year old quarter horse/arabian mix. This is her 6th summer at the Ranch, and she’ll be retiring after this summer to Flint Creek Youth Ranch in Arkansas to eat lots of grass and grain happily for the rest of her days!
Copper
He is a 13 year old quarter horse. He’s the sweetest and most people-loving horse in the herd. He’ll follow you around like a puppy! This is his 6th summer at the Ranch.
CT
He is a 15 year old quarter horse. He’s a great kids horse and is eager to please. His name stands for Copper Tone, but he goes by CT since there is already a “Copper”. This is his 6th summer at the Ranch!
Jazzy
She is a 16 year old quarter horse/arabian mix. She is friendly and loves her neck to be scratched. She is a staff horse for the summer because this is her 1st year at the Ranch with many more to come!
Joker
He is 15 year old quarter horse. He is the only bay colored horse in the herd which makes him easy to spot out. His two best horse friends are S&H and Jazzy. This is his 2nd summer at the Ranch!
Lacey
She is a 14 year old quarter horse and is 2 months pregnant! Don’t worry though, riding while she’s pregnant won’t hurt the foal. She is due in May 2021. This is her 5th summer at the Ranch!
Lightning
He is 14 year old Missouri fox-trotter, who is named after the white lightning-looking stripe on his left hindquarters. Eating is his favorite activity and this is his 6th summer at the Ranch!
Ranger
He is a 16 year old quarter horse, who much resembles a race horse. He belongs to the Equestrian Director, and is the tallest horse in the herd, coming in at 18 hands high! This is his 5th summer at the Ranch.
S&H
He is a 25 year old quarter horse/arabian mix. His name stands for Sweet and Handsome and he likes to jump anything in his path, even if it’s small enough to walk over. He is a staff horse for the summer because this is his 1st year at the ranch!
Sonic
She is an 18 year old quarter horse, and is fantastic with kids. Her best friend is Apache who she has grown up with since she was a foal. This is her 6th summer at the Ranch!
Spirit
He is a 15 year old quarter horse, who is named after everyone’s favorite animated horse movie, Spirit. Because of this, he is especially loved by kids. This is his 5th summer at the Ranch!
Sunny
He is a 15 year old quarter horse. He loves apples and carrots and being with his friend Apollo. This is his 4th summer at the Ranch!
Woodstock
He is a 25 year old quarter horse/arabian mix. He is a camper favorite and is a good jumper! This is his 6th year at the Ranch.
