The Best Job You’ll Ever Have!

For our summer camp program, we are looking for staff members who are committed to Jesus and are willing to spend a summer working hard to show his love to every camper and their family. Every summer, we hire the best of the best to work alongside our dedicated leadership team in planning, shaping, operating, and living 9 weeks of the ultimate camp experience in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Our staff are Christ-centered, motivated, energetic, hard-working and fun-loving, but most of all committed to making it easy for kids to know God. A summer at camp will involve service, discipleship, and growth in your personal walk with Jesus. There are numerous, life-changing opportunities waiting for you on the RMC Summer Camp Team!  

 

Do I Qualify?

Summer Staff 2024 — Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age* OR have graduated high-school/received GED or equivalent by June 7, 2024 for supervisory positions

  • Be at least 16 years of age for support positions

  • Be available for Summer Camp Responsibility - June 7 - July 26, and Gillette Camporee, July 26 - August 13 (Some exceptions may be made for Camporee dates)

Summer staff 2024 — Qualifications

  • Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to fulfill responsibilities 

  • Enjoy working with kids

  • Be self-motivated, willing to learn and a team player 

  • Be flexible and ready to serve  

  • Have a daily, growing relationship with Jesus 

  • Be willing to put “making it easy for kids to know God” first

  • Be camper focused at all times 

Summer Staff should be available for the entirety of the camp program. Minor exceptions (2-3 day absences for prior engagements such as weddings) will be considered but are not guaranteed.

Other Important Things

Staff Reference FOrm

We reference staff utilizing SkillSurvey. Applicants should be prepared to list 5 references with at least 1 being a current or former workplace manager. All referencing will be conducted via email.

Staff Handbook

The Staff Handbook, in all of its 68+ pages of glory and containing (nearly) all of the information you will need to be successful at Glacier View Ranch is available now! Click here to access the Summer Camp handbook. Anything and everything not covered in the handbook will be addressed during our Staff Training Week prior to camper arrival.

Health History Form

Each year, staff of GVR are required to present an annual health history. Any sports physical and health history or general health physical and health history completed within the last year is okay (completed for school, recreation league, etc.). If you don’t already have a health history, click here to access our form.

Colorado “TRAILS” Background Check

Click here to access the “Facility Request for Background Investigation in the Confidential Child Abuse/Neglect Database” form. Please note the following:

  • This form does not work on mobile devices

  • All staff are required to submit this form once every 3 years

  • If you are new this year, you must submit this form

  • The state of Colorado only accepts typed forms with an original (not electronic) signature

  • Type your answers in the form, print it out, add your signature, and;

  • Mail or scan and email (preferred) your completed form to the RMC Youth Department at 2520 South Downing Street, Denver, CO 80210 or summercamp@rmcsda.org

  • We will submit the form to the state of Colorado with payment
